Presidents of State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in Region III, along with their sports directors, attended the Executive Council Meeting hosted by Tarlac State University on August 8, 2019 with the main agendum: the State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association III (SCUAA III).
The date, venue, and amount of contribution per SUC for the SCUAA III were finalized in the said meeting.
TSU will again host the SCUAA III on February 2-8, 2020 at the New Clark City Sports Complex, Capas, Tarlac.
The annual regional sports event for SUCs is moved to February 2020 to make way for the 2019 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in December as New Clark City is one of the venues.
TSU President Dr. Myrna Q. Mallari has remarked that the SCUAA is not a competition but a collaboration and cooperation among Region III SUCs to select the best athletes to represent the region in the National SCUAA.
Moreover, the executive council plans to submit a resolution to host the National SCUAA in 2022 at the New Clark City.
