SHIFT TO ASYNCHRONOUS LEARNING MODALITY AND PERSONNEL WELFARE UPDATES
Following the emergency meeting of the TSU Executive Committee held via Microsoft Teams today (August 30), university officials discussed emergency response measures, mitigation strategies, and adaptation plans to address the effects of the continuous rains and strengthen the university’s preparedness and response to potential impacts of the prevailing weather conditions.
As an immediate adaptive measure, the University shall continue implementing an asynchronous learning modality at all levels until further notice. Faculty members are encouraged to exercise reasonable flexibility in the submission of academic requirements and deliverables, taking into consideration the circumstances and accessibility challenges faced by affected students.
Meanwhile, the Office of Human Resource Development and Management (OHRDM) is currently consolidating information on the working conditions and circumstances of University personnel which will serve as a basis for determining appropriate work arrangements and other necessary interventions.
Further guidance on work arrangements and other necessary actions for employees shall be issued by the Office of the University President through a memorandum.
The University continues to closely monitor the situation and remains committed to ensuring the safety, welfare, and well-being of the entire TSU community amid the prevailing weather conditions.
